This Is How You Need To Love Yourself

Have you ever sat idly, mind blank, eyes like a blank space and lips being bitten just to stop the tears?

This is the point in your life when you feel so low like the whole world is against you. It’s the time when you feel nothing while feeling everything at once. This is also the time when you accept all the bad things that are happening as like you deserve it. You feel scared and beaten down. You feel lost like you’ll never find yourself again. You feel empty and it scares you.

This feels like a ton of weight, doesn’t it? Well, it is but do you want to feel that way forever? What about self-love? They say you can’t really love someone else when you don’t even love yourself and in part this is true. When you don’t love yourself, you’re not giving the person who means so much to you the best version of yourself and nobody wants a wasted person. Everybody wants a wasted person who’s trying to get up and fight. And you’ve got what it takes. Just look inside you.

Learning to be Kind to Yourself

Hush, don’t tell yourself you’re unpretty or you’re fat. If you feel like you’re gaining weight, tell yourself it’s okay but you’ll need to be more active besides having some excess meat is beautiful. Nobody wants to look like they haven’t eaten in days. And nobody’s unpretty, it’s always a matter of perception. When you suddenly feel negative thoughts raging inside your head saying things like you’re not smart enough or good enough, counter it by thanking yourself for getting this far and for constantly trying to get better. Think of the things that you like about yourself like you’re very artsy or you’re a really good car mechanic for a hobbyist.

Always Put Yourself First

Putting yourself first doesn’t mean you’re gonna be rude to the people around you, it just means you command the respect you deserve. If you don’t want to go out with your friends tonight because you’re not feeling well, tell them. If someone hurt your feelings, tell them. If you need to do something like a job or even a hobby, do it because it’ll make you happy. If you feel unsafe in a certain environment, get out of there. If you’re not happy with a relationship anymore, get out of it. It doesn’t matter if this relationship is a friendship, family or boyfriend. Get out of it if it’s taking a toll on your physical health and mental stability.

Finding Yourself Again

One of the hardest things you’ll ever go through is when you lose yourself. Maybe you lost yourself while trying to love someone or you lost yourself when you lost your dream job. There are many reasons why a person can lose herself but don’t let that be reason for you to stop dreaming and reaching for them. Think about this; for every person or thing you lost there will always be someone or something that can replace them/it but if you lose yourself who’s going to replace you? Take your time if you’re finding it hard to see light again. It may take days maybe weeks heck even years but don’t let that stop you in finding your true self.

Love Yourself Above Anything and Anyone

This is becoming repetitive but it’s the most honest way for you to believe in others and love others too. When you love yourself, you feel happy. You’re always great with your job, the things you do won’t be mediocre and you get lost in beautiful thoughts in contrast to bad thoughts you think of when you’re sad. When you love yourself, you don’t take b&llsh*t from anyone so someone who doesn’t deserves you must go and you’re left with someone who takes time and effort to make you happy. What does that do? When someone makes you happy, you won’t be clingy or needy and you won’t have tantrums because there are no reasons why; you’re simply happy. When you’re happy with yourself you don’t give out a bad vibe to your family, your friends or your love interest. Even your dog will be happy when you are. Think about it.
